Boningale
Ryan Simpson, who is also an affiliate member of the Plant Health Professional Register will be talking about three main topics affecting the landscape Industry including Plant specification, Biosecurity and plant health and what we as a producer and supplier are actively doing to reduce the impact of these to our clients.
Ryan will also be introducing the Viridis Plants Trade Centre, a production and trade centre facility based in Melville, aimed at producing peat free trees for the commercial market whilst also targeting Domestic Landscapers and garden designers with its Viridis brand that offers an extensive range of herbaceous perennials, specimens, topiary, shrubs and trees. The site also acts as an extension to our Boningale Nurseries commercial logistics allowing commercial contractors to collect stock locally potentially reducing haulage costs.
Boningale Limited, part of the Plant Market Group, is focused on servicing the commercial landscaping and garden design marketplace through its two brands Boningale Nurseries and Viridis Plants.
UK production is at the forefront of its plans utilising its newly acquired Scottish nursery Melville, which is producing peat free trees and its Boningale and Codsall production facilities which are focused on shrubs and specimens, all supported by an impressive supply chain network of circa 400 growers from the UK and Europe.
Jacob Carter
Jacob Carter won the Landscape Student of the Year at the recent BALI Awards in December. A student of SRUC Oatridge Campus since 2022, he has completed his SVQ level 2 and is very keen to progress to his level 3. Alongside this he is very keen to add a number of craft skill courses to his portfolio which he believes will benefit his employer, Keillor Build and Landscaping.
SRUC College are obviously very proud to have taught Jacob and will continue to support him through his learning journey.
