Introducing LISS/CSCS
LISS/CSCS is both a standalone scheme and a mandatory requirement of the National Highways Sector Scheme 18 (Land-based) recognised by Build UK. It is designed to support the development of an industry framework for skills development and progression in the workplace alongside CSCS.
This is achieved through a SmartCard scheme.
To apply for any fully operational SmartCard you must successfully pass the ROLO Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness Course and CITB Touch Screen Test, appropriate to the SmartCard level. Only the CITB Touch Screen Test is required for the Modular Paving industry. For more information on LISS/CSCS, download our free advice leaflet which provides an additional explanation.

How to obtain a LISS/CSCS SmartCard
LISS/CSCS SmartCards are only issued once certain requirements are met.
