About Central YMCA

As the first YMCA that established the worldwide movement, Central YMCA today is a national charity focusing on the Education, Training, Health and Wellbeing of the local communities we serve. We aim to provide more access to life-changing opportunities that allow everyone we work with to reach their full potential and positively contribute to society. Within Education and Training, we provide Pre-16, Study Programmes, Pre-Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps and Apprenticeships across several disciplines—Employability Skills, Business Administration, Customer Service, Team Leadership, Governance, Early Years & Childcare, Health & Social Care, Fitness and Leisure, Sport and Coaching, Warehouse and Storage as well as Horticulture. Furthermore, within our E&T offer, YMCAfit is our training arm that trains tomorrow's fitness leaders. And YMCA Awards is UK's first awarding organisation specialising in health and fitness qualifications. Our Education and Training offer allows us to not only support our communities in their education and employment journeys but also to support surrounding businesses with bespoke retention and recruitment strategies when it comes to their staff. From a Health and Wellbeing perspective, Moregate Fitness Club and YMCA KX—located in the heart of London—offer an inclusive gym and Pilates studio, respectively. Each facility also serves as an incubator for the wide range of programming we provide to support children, young people, marginalised groups, older adults and those suffering from long-term health conditions in the community. Like our Education and Training offer, we can provide businesses and social enterprises in the community with tailored programming to bolster the mental health and wellbeing of their employee base. From in-house training and team away days to short courses and volunteer opportunities, we have something for all people, all bodies, and all levels.
