Abbey joined KLG in 2018 as a part-time HR Administrator. After successfully completing a Level 5 CIPD Associate course, she quickly progressed to the position of HR Manager, taking responsibility for the company’s payroll. Abbey manages all employees across different divisions, ensuring our team remains engaged and productive. By working closely with Directors and Management, she oversees a wide range of HR functions, from employee relations to talent management. Abbey is dedicated to keeping KLG compliant with current employment laws and is passionate about her role as KLG’s mental health ambassador.
A significant career milestone for Abbey came in 2024 when we received a nomination for a diversity and inclusion award. This honour was based on our internal policies and employee initiatives, including our commitment to mental health support and our efforts to increase the number of women in the industry.
When asked about her favourite aspect of working at KLG, Abbey stated, “Many of our employees have been with us for numerous years, and this is reflected in the strong relationships we’ve developed over time. Even though KLG is no longer regarded as a ‘small’ business, it continues to uphold a ‘family feel,’ which is genuinely wonderful.”
