Tom started his journey with KLG as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in 2009. He swiftly advanced to the role of Commercial Manager, a position he successfully held for eight years. In 2022, Tom embraced the position of Senior Estimating Manager, where he oversees all aspects of commercial works. He leads our team of estimators and collaborates closely with both internal teams and clients. Over the years, Tom has celebrated numerous career highlights and participated in remarkable projects, but two particularly stand out as his proudest achievements.

The first is the Japanese Garden of Peace in Hammersmith Park, which involved the restoration of a historically significant park gifted by Japan in 1910. Tom had the unique opportunity to work alongside experts flown in from Japan who supervised the reconstruction of ponds and waterfalls. Together with his team, they delivered a stunning final product.

Another noteworthy project was Lancaster Gate, a highly specialised garden located opposite Hyde Park. At the time, it was one of the largest projects KLG had undertaken and was technically challenging. The result was a breathtaking garden that garnered multiple awards.

When asked about what he enjoys most during his time at KLG, Tom reflects, “My greatest achievement is the QS’s and estimators I have trained and mentored from trainees to competent employees; many of them are still with KLG and now hold senior positions within the company.”
