A Garden of Recovery

Project title:
Small City Garden

Project client:
Caroline and Adam Brook- Smith, Oxford, Oxfordshire

Quote:
"“George did an amazing job transforming our garden from a cramped back yard into this calm & beautiful space & we are absolutely delighted with the result. I was diagnosed with cancer while the build was going on & being able to convalesce from surgery lying in the hammock, watching the birds & butterflies that visit this peaceful haven, has made a huge difference to my recovery. We had a very small space to work with & the main items on our wish list were to have a pond and some kind of structure that could support a swing for our children but which could also be used to support climbing roses & wisteria. Jamie’s design & George’s craftsmanship have created something truly impressive in our little urban garden.” "

Work undertaken by Oxford Garden Design & Maintenance:
This garden is doing an very important job. It is hard to underestimate the role that having a tranquil outside space plays in recovery from serious illness. In the middle of a bustling city centre it is a tranquil oasis in which our client can relax and enjoy watching the wildlife the garden attracts. Our clients enjoy cottage-style plants which have been specifically chosen to attract bees, butterflies and pond wildlife. As part of the scheme we have installed low level LED lights for practical purposes and to add an extra dimension to be admired at night .

Reason for choosing Oxford Garden Design & Maintenance:
They wanted a design and build company to carry out all the work
