About Randle Siddeley Ltd

Randle Siddeley is a leading landscape architecture, construction and maintenance company. Based in London, our Design Division specialises in designing landscapes and gardens for private residences and commercial developments all over the world. With projects from the most modest of city roof terraces to the grandest of palaces and hotels, our experienced landscape architects combine creative flair with obsessive attention to detail to deliver classic, yet contemporary, landscape treatments. Our Construction Division is made up of hard- and soft-landscaping experts whose traditional craftsmanship skills, using modern methods and equipment, deliver beautiful gardens and public realm spaces time and time again. Many of the projects we build have been crafted by our Design Division, but we also frequently tender and negotiate on schemes designed by other landscape and garden designers. We also employ a substantial team of garden and landscape maintenance experts who work to ensure that your outdoor space always looks immaculate. Our full-service maintenance package is tailored to suit your requirements for whatever the scale of your project.

Projects

LG Smart Garden - RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2016

Completed: 04/07/2016
Location: RHS Chelsea Flower Show

Randle Siddeley constructed the LG Smart Garden for LG and their designer, Hay Joung Hwang of Hay Designs. Awarded a Silver Gilt medal by the RHS, the garden was a resounding success and a fantastic showcase for the skills of our Construction Division who erected the substantial steel cantilevered pergolas to millimetre precision under significant time and workspace pressure. The results, we think you'll agree, were more than worth it.

Country Estate, Hertfordshire

Completed: 04/07/2016
Location: Hertfordshire, UK

Dating from circa 1740, this magnificent Grade II listed property sits in acres of intricately landscaped gardens, including a large kitchen garden with a landscaped arbour, several ponds, a stunning rhododendron garden with a cascading stream and a formal contemplative chapel garden.

Roof Terrace, Kensington

Completed: 04/07/2016
Location: Westminster, London

Randle Siddeley was asked to renovate an urban outdoor space on the roof terrace of this three storey family home set within a conservation area in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The subsequent garden scheme consists of a seating area surrounded by a trellis screen with climbers and a rich herbaceous border. The framed evergreen hedges also help to create an elegant contemporary feel with a sense of intimacy and privacy from the streets below.

Upper Phillimore Gardens

Completed: 04/07/2016
Location: Kensington

The development of this classical garden faced the challenge of being built on top of a subterranean structure that leads through to a garage with steps either side. The solution was to create a screen using a selection of trees, hedges and climbers therefore avoiding losing too much space within the garden and at the same time disguising the steps. The client wished to have a large terrace area in order to be able to entertain all year round, so in addition we created a relaxed seating area against the living wall with the recessed fireplace. The central water feature was selected by the client from France and helps create the main focal point of the garden. Barrel Quercus Ilex was planted to give form to the centre of the garden, which was then under planted with Buxus spheres with Taxus hedging on either side as well as White Roses, Japanese Anemone, Verbena and Astrantia. Along the boundaries we planted a line of Liquidamber in order to ensure privacy from the adjoining properties. The foliage is a dark lush colour, which then goes into incredible autumnal colours to give a spectacular end to the season.
