James Scott

James first developed his love of plants and their place in the greater landscape growing up in the Cotswolds, where he spent many hours in his grandparents’ one-acre garden. Following his studies at Merrist Wood and a period of time working for a design-and-build practice in London, James founded The Garden Company in 1991 and has been bringing clients' dreams to life ever since.  James and his team believe in the transformative quality of great garden design and seek to bring enduring value to their clients’ lives through the creation of unique outside spaces. The Garden Company’s award-winning work and many happy clients provide testimony to James’s passion for what he does.
