Swimming Pool Garden
read more"I am absolutely delighted with the completion of the new garden. Our site was a tricky one with a large amount of concrete found at the top of the slope, down the slope and around the large area of the swimming pool. Simon and the team put a huge amount of work into turning the design into reality with great attention to detail. I am absolutely delighted with the outcome of the work and all has resulted as intended. Fantastic Work! "

Projects
Swimming Pool Garden
This large rural Sussex garden is nestled in the stunning landscape of the South Downs, designed by Nigel Philips Landscape and Garden Design FSGD. A series of Oak retaining walls and a gentle Breedon gravel walkway links the swimming pool terrace and substantial tennis court entertaining space, where a large pergola provides much needed shade and a pergola walkway access to the land beyond. A parterre and a dining terrace wraps around the house. Designer Vanessa Simon created a planting plan which works seamlessly with the surrounding chalk Downland.
Rural Retreat
Hard and soft landscaping of the back garden of an East Sussex rural retreat nestled into the South Downs. Designed by Julia Fogg Associates Landscape and Garden Design MSGD. The finished result is a beautiful back garden comprised of three levels. Immediately outside the garden and conservatory door is an (existing) York stone paved terrace surrounded by flint stone wall planting beds. Clay brick steps lead up to a raised lawn area surrounded by curved brick pathways and raised brick walled planting borders. A picturesque summer house is framed by an Oak pergola* which will eventually be covered in Wisteria, Roses and Clematis. The last level features a circular wildlife pond with aquatic planting which will mature into a nature haven in years to come. The newly planted beds have already started to set this garden alive with movement, texture and colour. The client's hot tub is positioned in a prime location from which to enjoy this beautiful outside oasis and extension of their space. *Summer house and Pergola's and gates in this garden were built and installed by others
Curved Garden
This garden was designed by Carol Whitehead MSGD. It included hard and soft landscaping and installation of a wide new curved crazy paving pathway which created a journey through the garden, steps and deep perennial planting beds as well as a circular tiered wildlife pond with cobble surround.
Country Farmhouse Garden
A re-development of a large farmhouse garden in East Sussex, including soft and hard landscaping. The project included installation of the back garden family eating and social area, a front garden parterre and a large side kitchen garden area. The garden was designed by award winning garden designer Nigel Philips, Fellow of the Society of Garden Designers. The kitchen garden included fencing, oak raised beds, a fruit cage, Greenhouse, compost bins with Breedon Gravel pathways. The parterre was planted up with Buxus hedging and included a new boundary native fence. The family eating and social area was designed to link the main house to the guest house and the main driveway to the old stables. It included installation of two oak pergola areas, one defining and creating shade to a chill out space and the other, framing the stunning views from the house as well as creating a pergola walkway to the main space. Bull nosed steps needed to curve around the kitchen door access, we also installed a number of sets of steps to lead to and from the driveway and the patio. The main material used was sandstone which was paired with Vande Moortel brick paving . A curved Vande Moortel path sloped down towards the side entrance to the guest house. Deep perennial sloping beds framed these hard landscaping spaces softening them with stunning colour and movement. Perennial borders framed the lawn opposite the guest house with swaths of repetitive planting linking the space beautifully.
Large Town Garden
This large Brighton town garden, redesigned by a multi-award-winning garden designer, complements a new extension while retaining the old boundary brick walls. It includes a substantial kitchen garden, mature trees on raised banks for winter interest and screening, a formal lawn, and several seating terraces with York Stone and Vande Moortel clay pavers. The garden features a circular raised fishing pond within Breedon gravel pathways and a large rectangular wildlife pond surrounded by deep planting beds of perennials and trees, providing year-round seasonal interest
Coastal garden
This garden was designed by Baobab Garden Design for a newly developed property. It included installation of decking and paving surrounding the pool on the pool terrace and boundary fencing. It also included the installation of a sensory courtyard with a central Buxus Sphere feature surrounded by Breedon Gravel.
