Martin Skuse

Martin has a degree and post-graduate diploma in Landscape Architecture. He was inspired to be a landscape designer after visiting the beautiful gardens of Japan, while travelling around the world and working in Australia and Hong Kong.

He is interested in the contrast between the formal and naturalistic approach to garden design and creating varied planting areas that will look good and different throughout the year.  Think swathes of tall grasses and perennials with beautiful plants that will sway in the breeze, complimenting and contrasting with the formal structure of the garden boundaries, shrubs, trees and the surrounding landscape.  He also likes to incorporate architectural, sculptural, artistic, water, play, or relaxation elements; to create lovely gardens that will stimulate the senses, provide more interest, and get the most out of our valuable private outdoor spaces.
