BALI regional activity a huge success!
The 2024 round of Regional Annual General Meetings (AGMs) has been exceptionally rewarding, providing an opportunity to engage with numerous members across diverse locations. Throughout our extensive travels across the country, we've witnessed a notable increase in member attendance at the events associated with the Regional AGMs.
This surge in participation highlights the vibrant networking opportunities and fosters invaluable connections among our membership base.
Each AGM has featured a member engagement workshop, facilitated by Sharon Kennett, where the outcomes of the December 2023 members' survey were discussed. This enabled attendees to provide further feedback for the Association to make changes in the future.
The Association would like to thank all participants for their active involvement, as member engagement remains pivotal in ensuring that the Association delivers value and maintains industry leadership on behalf of our members.
Regional activity
We are pleased to see an increase in activity amongst the North West and East Anglia regions this past year, and now have a fully formed committee in East Anglia with Will Innes-Taylor as Regional Chair and Nick Brown as Vice - Chair.
Wayne Grills, Chief Executive added:
"If members engage with the Association, we can ensure that we are providing the best value for you and be industry leaders in what we are doing on your behalf. It’s also been fantastic to see both the East Anglia and the North West regions re-establishing themselves and I look forward to seeing the committees grow and the events for members become more relevant."
The Association caught up with Ryan Horsman, who has been newly appointed Regional Chair for Yorkshire and North East who said:
I'm thrilled to be taking the role of the Yorkshire and North East Regional Chair, supported by the dynamic individuals on the regional committee. Our focus is to build upon the successes we've already achieved and organise events that will benefit our region while supporting BALI’s visions. These events aim to provide valuable industry insights, encourage innovation among our peers, and create networking opportunities. Establishing connections within the landscaping sector can open doors to unexpected benefits. I hope to meet as many of you as possible at any of our events this year.
The Association is thrilled with the outcome of the Regional AGMs and is pleased to announce there are currently eight events available for both members and non-members to book onto. There are a range of different activities including a charity football match, visits to both Kew Gardens in London and The Laundry Gardens in Wales, and regular social evenings taking place in the South West.
