Perennial is a horticultural charity organisation with longstanding support from BALI who have managed to raise over £36,000 at their annual Festival Dinner. The charity hosted the annual Festival Dinner which brought in a total of about £36,000. The auction alone raised £16,000 and included various luxurious lots including a week’s holiday for four in Tuscany. As well as the lots, a cheque for over £19,000 was presented on the night from the Great British Card Company for money raised for Perennial through sales of cards.

The festival dinner has been a longstanding tradition which has been dated as far back to Perennial's origin's, wherein 1839 the Gardener’s Benevolent Institution was established. The Festival Dinner became an annual fixture and even saw Charles Dickens make an appearance in its ninth Festival Dinner in 1852.

Anita Bates, Director of Marketing and Fundraising at Perennial said: “We are thrilled to have revived the Perennials tradition of an annual Festival Dinner and thank you to everyone who gave so generously and made it a spectacular evening. We are already planning next year’s festival dinner which will celebrate the 180th anniversary of Perennial Festival Dinner.”

The Festival Dinner is sponsored by the London College of Garden Design and Landscape Show. Guests had the chance to experience live entertainment and floral arrangements which were provided by Judith Blacklock Flower School.

The 180th Anniversary Perennial Festival Dinner will take place on Friday 11th October 2019 at Corinthia Hotel, London with special guest Alan Titchmarsh, President of Perennial. Tickets are available from the following link: https://perennial.org.uk/events/festival-dinner-2019-black-tie-event/
