Another impressive year for BALI members at Chelsea
Eight Gold, three Silver-Gilt and one Silver was this year’s medal haul for BALI members at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and the association’s Affiliate (supplier) members achieved two 5 Star and four 4 Star awards for their trade stands. In a year where fewer BALI contractors and designers were involved with the show, this was an impressive performance by any standard.
In the Show Garden category, Gold Medals were awarded to Landform Consultants (contractor) and Mark Gregory (designer) for the Welcome to Yorkshire garden, and Chris Beardshaw (designer) for The Morgan Stanley Garden for the NSPCC; Silver-Gilt Medals were awarded to Randle Siddeley (contractor) for the LG Eco-City Garden, and Landscape Associates (contractor) for The Lemon Tree Trust Garden.
In the new Space to Grow Gardens category, Gold medals went to Kate Gould (designer and contractor) for New West End Garden, Garden Club London (contractor) for the Urban Flow Garden, Landform Consultants (contractor) for The Seedlip Garden, and The Garden Builders (contractor) for The Pearlfisher Garden.
In the Artisan Gardens category, Belderbos Landscapes (contractor) received a Silver-Gilt medal for the British Council Garden – India: A Billion Dreams, and Frosts Landscape Construction (contractor) received a Silver medal for The Supershoes, Laced with Hope Garden, a partnership with Frosts.
In the Discovery area of The Great Pavilion, BALI Training Provider members Capel Manor College and Sparsholt College were both awarded Gold medals for their exhibits, as was BALI Registered Affiliate member Peter Beales Roses.
