BALI members celebrate awards at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park

After a very wet finish to the garden builds, the 25th RHS Flower Festival Tatton Park opened today (17 July) to glorious sunshine.

The Grant Horticulture Arts and Crafts Garden

Accredited Contractor Grant Horticulture, who have built the Show Garden The Grant Horticulture Arts & Crafts Garden have been awarded a Silver-gilt medal. Designed by head designer Callum Bain-Mackay, the garden promotes architecture, gardening, and craftsmanship, using traditional practices to create a modern space.

Entertaining Meets Nature

Young Designer Garden Entertaining Meets Nature, built by Accredited Supplier The Landscape Academy, received a Gold medal. The team at the Academy have been mentoring the garden designer Callum Corrie for the last 6 months throughout his RHS journey, approaching each aspect as a learning opportunity to help give Callum a full understanding of a garden design and landscape build project from start to finish.

The Better New Build

Member sponsored gardens also received awards. Career Changer garden The Better New Build, sponsored by Accredited Supplier London Stone was presented with a Silver-gilt medal by the judges. The garden aims to inspire new build homeowners and property developers to make more of their spaces and use more environmentally friendly low-maintenance options.

The 1804 Garden

Show Garden The 1804 Garden, sponsored by Accredited Contractor Wright Landscapes and Accredited Supplier Talasey received a Silver medal. In association with Melanoma UK and Band of Builders, the garden brings attention to the heightened skin cancer risk associated with working outdoors.

BALI’s attendance at this year’s show, in conjunction with GoLandscape, is in partnership with Grant Horticulture on the Show Garden ‘The Grant Horticulture Arts & Crafts Garden’. From the garden, BALI is promoting the benefits of using an Accredited member to the public, highlighting the stringent vetting process and the high-quality standards our members must work to and maintain to retain accreditation. GoLandscape will be promoting careers in horticulture, highlighting the diverse opportunities and routes into the industry, including apprenticeships and land-based courses.

Accredited Supplier members are also exhibiting at the show, including Stihl, renowned for their revolutionary outdoor power equipment including landscaping, lawnmowers and other grounds care tools, and Agriframes, recognised for crafting the best quality, durable garden structures.
