BALI North Thames outing and a trip to RHS Chelsea Flower Show!
Last week was an exciting one for Sones Accountancy Services. We had the honour of attending not one but two landscaping industry events!
The first event was the BALI North Thames region visit to Paradise Fields. A conservationist from Citizen Zoo gave us a guided tour and delved into the recent beaver rewilding project. Eurasian Beavers have been reintroduced in enclosed and open-release sites across the country in England, Wales and Scotland. Thanks to the Ealing Beaver Project, they have been reintroduced to the London area. We were told all about what the Beaver family have been getting up to since their release, saw signs of feeding and the dams they have built, and the positive biodiversity and ecological changes made to the site.
It was very interesting to see how the beavers are living side by side with humans in a green space within an urban area. Also, it was surprising to hear that crime rates in the area have lowered since the rewilding project was introduced.
The second event of the week was a trip to visit the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, where it was the last day of the build. Nick Malady-Rashford, one of our Client Managers, and I were very excited to able to attend. We were both blown away by what we saw! You could clearly see just how much work had gone into the gardens created and built for the show. Some of the creations were out of this world!
One of our clients was the contract builder for the stunning Bridgerton-themed garden sponsored by Netflix. It was great for Nick and I to catch up with him and his team while adding the finishing touches to their incredible Chelsea Garden.
The creativity and craftsmanship of the gardens built for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show was simply phenomenal. One thing is for sure, the judges will have the most difficult job on their hands deciding on the deserved winners!
