BALI seeks new Directors to join its board

BALI is in a unique position this year in seeking new Directors to join the existing board and we are on the search for specific skills that complement the current board to help deliver on the strategy that BALI set for a five-year period.

This is an opportunity to join the BALI board at an exciting time when governance and the strategic overview of the board and how it contributes to the direction of the Association is changing. We want to strengthen the diversity of the board and, in turn, become more relevant to our ever-growing membership.

Board Member - Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong and ethical direction as a Non-Executive Director of the Board
  • Collaborate with fellow Directors to set the strategic vision and goals of the Association
  • Oversee and enhance the governance, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Provide a constructive critical opinion to the direction of the Association
  • Contribute to the achievement of the strategic plan

The areas identified to help deliver on the strategy moving forward are:

  • Resource planning and investment
  • Coaching or mentoring
  • Succession planning
  • Process review and improvement
  • Sustainability planning and implementation
  • Marketing and communications
  • Writing
  • Position/manifesto development
  • Advocacy and political lobbying
  • Facilitation
  • Voice of the Customer (VOC) research
