Boningale recognised at the National APL Awards

At the annual Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) Awards this month, Shropshire’s Boningale Nurseries won the title of 2019 Supplier of Year for the Midlands and North in the coveted Grower of the Year category.

For the last 24 years, the national APL Awards have recognised excellence and the highest standards of landscape contracting in the UK, with the regional Grower of the Year category commending a nursery supplier’s commitment and contribution to the industry.

On presenting the Supplier of the Year: Midlands / North award, sponsored by Pro Landscaper UK, the judges commented:

“Boningale Nurseries have been supplying quality amenity plants to the landscape industry for many years.  They are now one of the largest nurseries within the UK and one that always attempts to put itself ahead of growing trends. A few years ago, Boningale developed award-winning green roofing products under GreenSky, part of the Boningale Limited group. They are also committed to Plant Health, having developed a management standard and piloted a plant health management system, which they hope to see rolled out to other growers.”

All the APL winners were announced at an awards dinner held on Friday 15th March at The Brewery, London, where 380 attendees celebrated the outstanding landscaping carried out by members of the APL.
