Composite Prime signs up to construction software

13 Jun 2019 | BALI Member News

BALI Registered Affiliate member Composite Prime Ltd a fast-growing, eco-friendly, composite decking company has signed up to NBS Plus, the UK’s premier construction specification software provider, RIBA Product Selector and NBS National BIM Library.

Launched in 2014, Composite Prime produces decking by combining FSC® 100% certified hardwood timber with recycled plastic, offering the traditional look and feel of timber, with the attractive benefits of a long-lasting and low-maintenance deck.

The eco-friendly firm, which currently distributes to stockists throughout the UK, including Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, is keen to raise its profile in the construction industry and encourage architects / designers to learn about the benefits of specifying Composite Prime decking and cladding products to construction projects nationwide.

Composite Prime’s garden landscaping products, HD Deck® XS, HD Deck® 150 and bestselling HD Deck® Dual are made from recycled plastic (280 plastic milk bottles used per square metre) and end of life FSC® 100% certified timber, to create a natural wood-grain composite decking that is low maintenance, barefoot safe, slip resistant, free from hazardous substances, environmentally-friendly and a longer-lasting alternative to timber.

Charles Taylor, Sales Director at Composite Prime said:

“Having grown our business successfully through traditional timber trade routes, it is exciting to take the step into the construction industry, something we’ve been working on for some time.

“As designers and developers are now much more aware of the implications their buying habits have on the planet, Composite Prime offers the high-end, luxury products they are looking for, but that do not cost the planet or break the budget – it’s win win.”

Rudy Micallef, Commercial Director at Composite Prime said:

“Signing up to NBS Plus and NBS National BIM Library expands our access to this market and increases our ability to enhance brand recognition throughout the industry.

“Over the past year, Composite Prime products have been specified on large residential projects, by national contractors, and having our products listed on the NBS specification software will increase the ability for more specifiers to include HD Deck products on their projects.”
