Design a Balcony or Container at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023!

The RHS is delighted to announce that applications are now open for the Balcony and Container Gardens at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

The 'Balcony and Container Gardens' category is a mentored category open to designers who have not exhibited or been involved in the design of a garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

This category of gardens, now in its third year, continues to grow in popularity, catching the imagination of visitors and the press and demonstrating the possibilities that these smallest of garden spaces can offer.

This category of garden has the main elements built by an RHS appointed garden contractor to ensure consistency in the core elements thereby leaving the designers to highlight how identical backdrops can be transformed.

Gardens today can be the smallest of spaces that give us a chance to connect with nature and express ourselves. Whether a balcony, urban, seaside or town garden that needs to balance practicality with the passions of its inhabitants. Whether for old or young, a couple or a family, experienced or novice, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show should lead the way in providing practical gardening inspirations and solutions.
