Eco-friendly GeoGrow awarded Cannock Chase business of the year
Accredited Supplier, GeoGrow, Cannock-based specialists in geotechnical engineered solutions, was awarded a prestigious prize at this year’s Royal Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield & Tamworth and Cannock Chase Chambers of Commerce awards in a ceremony held at The Belfry Hotel & Resort.
The environmentally-friendly business was awarded the accolade of Cannock Chase Business of the Year at the glamorous event held on Friday 26 January which was supported by headline sponsors Amazon and South Staffordshire College.
The prestigious event saw eight category winners revealed, with GeoGrow claiming their award after their very first award nomination.
GeoGrow is the UK manufacturer of Rootlok, a soft, engineered vegetated retaining wall system that is used for both land and water applications. The company delivers specialist services to the UK’s construction, building, and environmental markets with products and designs that promote greener infrastructure, functioning ecosystems, biodiversity and sustainability.
The awards were judged by Aulfat Bi (Innovation 4 Business), Fajli Bi (Faj Transformation), Will Crawford (quietnote), Johnathan Dudley (Crowe UK), Ruth Pipkin (Rewired PR) and chair, Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce’s former international director, Mandy Haque.

“We are delighted to be named Cannock Chase Business of the Year. Over the last seven years, we have established ourselves as a niche designer, supplier and installer of environmentally friendly systems. In 2023 we added an environmental division to our service offering, and made large investments into new machinery that greatly increased our hydroseeding capabilities, as well as new staff, training and development.
“We are continuing to expand into 2024 and will shortly open a new head office in Burntwood, bringing all the management, sales and technical divisions together to enable closer working relationships between teams and staff members.
“We are very appreciative of winning this award and will continue to work towards providing greener infrastructure with our products and services that contributes greatly towards biodiversity, wildlife habitat and our own wellbeing.”
