GoLandscape activities continue into Autumn
The GoLandscape team continue to focus on promoting the landscaping industry as a fantastic place to work and highlight the career opportunities available to a range of new audiences. They have also been involved in engaging with training providers, in conjunction with The BALI Chalk Fund, to understand how they provide greater support to skills development.

Key activities during September:
5 September: Aldershot British Armed Forces Resettlement Day
The GoLandscape team joined up with Highground, a charity who support service leavers who are interested in working the land-based sector once their time in the forces has come to an end. Jonathan and Cheryl spoke to many military personnel who were looking to move into civilian life and gave advice to those seeking employment in landscaping and the environment.
10 - 11 September: GroundsFest
BALI and GoLandscape teamed up on a stand at GroundsFest 2024, the team spoke to many members and non-members about Golandscape and our ambassador opportunities. We were delighted to meet so many of our members who want to support GoLandscape and its Ambassador programme.
10 September: BALI Chalk Fund college open forum
The BALI Chalk fund held their first college open forum, attended by representatives from BALI Training Providers Merrist Wood, Wiltshire College & University Centre, and Warwickshire College Group. The forum provided a brilliant opportunity for all parties to build a stronger relationship with BALI, and industry, as well as letting the colleges know of the funding available from the Chalk Fund to support their students.

GoLandscape Skills Pilot Week
The GoLandscape paving pilot will be held at Holly Landscape Training from 7-11 October 2024. Supported by the South Thames Region, this is a significant milestone in the development of the GoLandscape training initiative and will help us decide on the next steps of the rollout of the skills programme.
The Royal Parks Guild Discovery Day
GoLandscape provided information and support for the Royal Parks Guild’s annual Apprenticeship Discovery Day held this year at the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. In addition to apprentices from a range of businesses and organisations, 50 local school children were also invited to see the gardens and learn about the wide range of education and career opportunities available in the landscape and horticultural industries.
