Harrowden achieves ISO accreditation for the second year in a row
Accredited Supplier Harrowden has met with further success in 2024 as it has successfully achieved a clean sweep of ISO accreditation.
The business achieved ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 in 2022 and each of these has now been renewed for 2024.
Each accreditation reflects the work done across key areas of the business – Transport, Customer Service, Accounting and Business Continuity.
The work to support to support the accreditations was undertaken by Richard Boyson, Harrowden Group Transport Manager.
"Maintaining standards can sometimes be harder to achieve than the initial accreditation. Once again, a lot of our hard work has been recognised and built upon to allow us to strengthen and further improve our business in future."
ISO 9001 is the standard most will recognise as it relates to a clearly defined set of business processes and the documentation to support them.
ISO 14001 is a series of standards that relate to environmental management. They are designed to help organisations to minimise their environmental impact; use resources more efficiently; comply with environmental legislation and to continually improve their environmental performance. The accreditation also reflects the new products that Harrowden has brought on stream reflecting new partnerships with Kress, DLF, Hozelock and Fiskars.
Harrowden has again gone further and supplemented these standards with a further ISO accreditation – 45001, which relates to global standards for Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems that provide a practical solution to improve the safety and health of staff and personnel.
These accreditations also reflect the work done recently to achieve the “silver” FORS standard.
