Horticultural professions unite for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Charter
The Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Charter for the Horticulture, Arboriculture, Landscaping, and Garden Media professions emerged from BALI's Access All Areas webinars. During these sessions, representatives from various associations collaborated to sign a charter aimed at developing guidance for implementing best practices and policies. This initiative seeks to foster a more inclusive and equitable industry.
Recent Activities and Future Plans…
This summer marked the second phase of renewed efforts by the EDI Charter group. A lively and insightful webinar, hosted by Gamiel Yafai from Diversity Marketplace, highlighted key findings on fostering inclusion within the sector. The webinar focused on leadership's role in cultivating a more inclusive culture and the importance of allyship in supporting colleagues.
The insights and discussions from the webinar will inform the action plan set to be rolled out this autumn and beyond, as the Charter group continues to drive positive change within the industry.
