idverde scoops up two Principal Awards at BALI Awards 2018

Green space management company and BALI Registered Contractor, idverde, is celebrating another successful year at the annual British Association of Landscaping Industries (BALI) Awards, dubbed ‘the Oscars of the landscaping industry’.

The company picked up two coveted Principal Awards in recognition of its exemplary standards of grounds maintenance at Colchester Borough Council’s Castle Park, and for Hard Landscape Construction works carried out at Theatre Square at the iconic Royal National Theatre in London.

The BALI National Landscape Awards, are held annually at London’s Grosvenor House on Park Lane and are the largest landscape awards in Europe. They recognise excellence in landscape design, construction and maintenance, and in affiliate customer service, achieved by Registered members of the British Association of Landscape Industries. The event is now in its 42nd year.

Principal Awards are presented to BALI members whose BALI National award-winning scheme in each category is deemed by the judges, above all entries in the category, to display exemplary levels of professionalism, workmanship and client satisfaction that bring credit to the landscape industry.

The Awards ceremony was hosted by popular sports journalist and breakfast TV presenter Dan Walker, who addressed the record-breaking audience of over 1,000 BALI members and guests during the luncheon and joined Awards sponsors on stage to present the 29 Principal and three Special Awards.

Commenting on the awards, idverde’s CEO, Doug Graham, said: “I was delighted to see idverde colleagues take to the stage to receive the awards, and am extremely proud of their achievement. This is the sixth consecutive year that idverde has received the Principal Award for grounds maintenance, and our third Principal Award for hard landscaping since 2015, so both awards underpin idverde’s position as the market leader in these disciplines.

“idverde celebrates its 100th Anniversary in 2019, so this is a great way to start the celebrations early, and of course full credit must go to our Colchester-based colleagues and our London projects team for delivering outstanding results for our clients once again.”
