Kubota release compact electric tractor ahead of SALTEX
The Japanese manufacturer Kubota has announced it will add a compact electric tractor to its existing product line-up in April 2023, as the manufacturer transitions from traditional power sources to alternatives including electric, hybrid and fuel-cell in a bid to meet its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
Kubota has announced it will add a compact electric tractor to its existing product line-up. The Lxe-261 is powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 26 horsepower class, which can be fully recharged in 3 hours.
Its small size and weight make it ideal for use on small farms, orchards and other sites with restricted access. It has a maximum output of 25 horsepower, an operating speed of 850 rpm, and an operating range of up to 20 miles.
The new model has different options for the bucket and grapple, making it suitable for both digging and harvesting tasks. Kubota also released the standard specifications document for this machine.
As with other compact tractors in the Kubota range, the LXe-261 offers an independent PTO, Hydrostatic transmission, and several hydraulic outlets, making the tractor suitable for use in mowing, hauling and other greenspace management tasks.
The LXe-261 will be on display at SALTEX this year, as well as Salon Vert in France and EIMA in Italy.
