Majestic Trees takes on Nuts Adventure Course in aid of Perennial
On 30 September, BALI Registered Affiliate member Majestic Trees took part in Perennial's 2018 HortAid Adventure Course Challenge, one of the muddiest and most challenging courses in the country. The team put in a fantastic performance and raised £1,406.23.
Perennial held its second industry NUTS Adventure Course Challenge to raise funds to support fellow horticulturalists in need. The NUTS course is reputed to be the muddiest and most challenging adventure course in the country, but the Majestic Team were up for the challenge. Veteran team members Winston Woodward, Bruno Lechevalier and Carlos Guinand were joined this year by Fern Snowling and Tommy Forrester to make up the five-person team.
Quite a gruelling experience, but the team put in a great performance, with Winston again taking first place for the men with a PB of 43:31, Bruno again placing third, and Fern finishing first for the women with a time of 1:10:33. Fellow team members Carlos and Tommy put in very respectable performances too, enabling the team to finish third overall. More importantly, however, the team were delighted to exceed their fundraising goal of £1,225, raising £1,406.72 for this worthy cause.
