Makita launch new emission friendly equipment

Some of you may remember how impressed BALI's Technical Officer Owen Baker was by Honda’s 4-stroke engine technology last year when he tried their latest strimmers, hedge trimmers and brush cutters. As emissions regulations continue to tighten on non-road mobile machinery, other manufacturers are increasingly using 4-cycle engines to ensure their machinery meets targets.
BALI Registered Affiliate Makita has recently launched an extensive range of equipment featuring the MM4 (Makita Mini 4-stroke Engine) format, including brush cutters, line trimmers, blowers, high-pressure water pumps and disc cutters.
Like Honda’s engines, Makita’s MM4 unit offers significant potential savings of fuel, combined with less maintenance, no need to mix oil and fuel on-site, better cold starting and, of course, reduced emissions.
Makita’s range of MM4 equipment can be viewed on their website.
