Managing Director of Grant Horticulture buys Urban Grow
Accredited Contractor, garden designer, horticulturist and Managing Director of Grant Horticulture, Dean Bolton-Grant has added a new online business to his commercial portfolio.
Urban Grow is a growing online retailer of professional quality garden furniture and garden accessories. Launched in 2020 with the aim of providing gardening enthusiasts and landscape professionals with an online destination for exceptional gardening products the business has grown phenomenally over the past two years and Bolton-Grant is looking forward to maximising the potential of the success so far. Bolton-Grant bought Urban Grow at the end of October 2022.
“Being a garden designer, I know how difficult it can be to source design-led, high quality garden furniture and accessories. When the opportunity arose to add Urban Grow to my business, I snapped it up. I can’t wait to deliver the best European and British design led products to both professional clients and retail customers. Having a strong online retail business blends with my existing garden design enterprise and gardening school.”
In 2021 Brits spent an average of £670 on their gardens, totalling over £18.6bn across the UK according to a study conducted by British manufacturer Power Sheds. 42% of Brits say they enjoy gardening and in 2021, three million more people took up gardening with nearly half of these being under 45 years old as found by high street bank Nationwide in April 2022.
“With this new, trend focussed, growing market, Urban Grow is ready to deliver products you won’t find in the garden centre. We’re here to provide sustainable, beautiful, long-lasting products and we’re looking forward to being a source of inspiration for gardeners of all levels and ages"
continued Bolton-Grant.
With that in mind, Urban Grow is the UK’s leading retailer of Adezz, the European garden accessories manufacturer, we also retail balcony greenhouses for the urban gardener as well as British made, high quality, pallet packed garden sheds. A new garden shed design is set to launch next week and is a practical, stylish hybrid of shed and office, the perfect garden escape pod.
