Positive vibes from members at BALI's National AGM 2018

BALI's annual AGM was held at Landscape House on Tuesday 11 September with over 25 members in attendance. There was a healthy mix of Registered Affiliate, Contractor and Designer members in attendance, including Hahn Plastics, British Sugar TOPSOIL, TFN Landscapes, Eljays44, Tivoli, Land Design Partnership, David Fisher, HL Services and Kings Landscapes, to name just a few. Following formal proceedings that saw Matt O'Conner of John O'Conner (Grounds Maintenance) stepping in as Chairman of the association, there was a very informative talk from Defra's Assistant Chief Plant Health Officer Richard McIntosh regarding plant biosecurity.

Following two years as BALI Chairman, Oak View Landscape's Paul Downer is now Immediate Past Chairman, whilst Richard Kay, Chairman of Green-tech, becomes Vice Chairman. Richard Stone of Bawden Managed Landscapes remains as BALI's Honorary Treasurer. 

The AGM also saw BALI Board Directors Robert Field of Robert Field Landscapes, Neil Huck of Ground Control, Stuart Simpson of Ashlea, David Dodd of The Outdoor Room and Jodie Read of Penarth Management, all step down from the board, however, Robert Field, Neil Huck and Stuart Simpson were re-elected and remain active Board Directors. BALI will now start the process of identifying several more Board Directors to join the association, with further details to be shared soon.
