Sandstone Design Solutions' designer wins Chelsea Award

Earlier this week, BALI Registered Contractor member Sandstone Design Solutions of Tunbridge Wells continued their run of top awards at RHS Chelsea Flower Show winning a five star and four-star award.

After similar success in 2018, Sandstone’s Ali Dempster was delighted to design and build trade stands at the show for two renowned UK brands, Chesneys and Chilstone.

Winning the highest award with five stars, the stand for Chesneys showcases the company’s HEAT range of luxury outdoor stoves and grills. The design for the stand draws on this theme, featuring plants in warm reds, oranges and pinks alongside clipped shrubs and wood decking.

The miniature front garden designed for Chilstone, makers of fine cast stone, won four stars for their third year exhibiting at Chelsea. Exclusively launching two new sculptures for the event, the stand includes romantic planting in the iconic Chilstone purple.

Each year, the awards at Chelsea are unveiled first thing on Tuesday morning. Sandstone also had a successful year at the show in 2018, winning a five star, four star and three star award for trade stands.

Ali Dempster, Owner and Designer at Sandstone, describes his reaction to the award:

“It’s our third year of building at Chelsea and it’s great to again get these awards. I feel we built two really strong branded stands and that the planting really was exceptional this year.

It’s been a pleasure to be at the show this week and see visitors enjoying them. We look forward to working with Chesney’s as we move their stand to RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, which we begin building at the end of June.”
