Talasey Group honours landscapers with cash prizes

BALI Registered Contractor Talasey Group has honoured ten of the best landscaping professionals in the UK, with more than £2,000 in cash prizes, for their 2019 awards in recognition of what it judged to be the best garden design projects of the year.

As part of its Talasey Landscaping Professionals scheme, the Doncaster-based company – which is one of the UK’s leading independent suppliers of landscaping solutions – runs annual awards to celebrate the high level of artisanship and innovative designs used to create stunning projects.

There were seven categories, based around usage of some of Talasey Group’s brands, such as Natural Paving, Vitripiazza, Baksteen, Luxigraze and Resiscape, and for technical ability and combinations of products. One company won two awards and there were four runners-up, such was the quality of projects.

The winners were:

Winner: Rose Gardens, Merseyside

Best use of Natural Paving

Winner: Elite Landscaping Ltd, Grantham, Lincolnshire

Runner-up: Bella Vista Garden Design, Southport

Best use of Resiscape

Winner: Firmcrete Solutions, Codicote, Hitchin

Runner-up: Amwell Driveways & Landscaping Ltd, Ware, Hertfordshire

Best use of Vitripiazza

Winner: Prestige Landscaping Northwest, Liverpool

Runner-up: All Seasons Gardening, Walsall, Staffs

Best use of Luxigraze

Winner: Elite Landscaping Ltd, Grantham, Lincolnshire

Best use of Baksteen

Winner: Decol Construction Ltd, Scunthorpe

Runner-up: Evoke Landscape Design, Shipley, Bradford

Speaking about the awards, Group Sales & Marketing Director Malcolm Gough said that it’s important to recognise and celebrate the achievements of individuals and businesses in the landscaping industry.

We had a vision very early on as a business that as a supplier to merchants, we wanted to see how our products were being used – which is where the Talasey Landscaping Professionals initiative came from, and out of that came the awards,” said Malcolm.

As we’ve grown to become the UK’s leading independent supplier of landscaping solutions, we have been able to champion the fantastic work of the UK landscaping industry, and the awards were a good way to throw the spotlight on some brilliant projects.

Again, this year, we have seen some superb projects that showcase not only the quality of landscaping products but also the quality of workmanship, which go hand in hand to create a beautiful outside space.

One of the judges, Craig Brook, said that the judging team were astounded by the number and quality of entries.

Craig said:

We spent hours deliberating because it was so hard to make the final decisions, as we know how much time and pride all of our members take in their work, but we feel that we chose the right projects and that they are worthy winners.
