Tim O'Hare Associates to pound the ground for charity

03 Apr 2019 | BALI Member News

Soil scientists at soil and landscape consultancy and BALI Registered Affiliate Tim O’Hare Associates (TOHA) based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, will be pounding the very ground they work with when they take part in the British Heart Foundation’s Tower of London Run on Wednesday, 8th May.

Normally used to digging inspection pits and sampling soils, the TOHA team will instead be pounding the ground of the iconic Tower of London when they do circuits of its moat to raise much needed funds for the British Heart Foundation’s research into heart and circulatory disease.

Soil scientist Matt Heins is one of the TOHA team members. Originally from South Africa, he jumped at the chance to run around such a famous UK landmark for a charity that is, quite literally, close to the heart of both him and his colleagues:

“Heart health and awareness is a particularly poignant topic at TOHA, with both families and individuals having been affected personally by heart disease. We are all really excited to take part in the run to do our bit for the cause. The fact that the venue is so iconic will make it a great day out for participants and supporters.”

Training is well underway but donations will really motivate the TOHA runners, so please visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/toha to donate online.
