Tivoli commences new contract with West Sussex
Accredited Contractor, Tivoli has commenced operations as the new grounds maintenance service provider for West Sussex County Council at over 130 corporate sites.
Running from 1st October 2023 until 30th September 2026 with a possible 1-year extension, the contract sees Tivoli completing grass-cutting, shrub and rose bed maintenance, strimming, litter picking, hard surface maintenance, hedge cutting, and annual bedding displays across the county. This includes libraries, fire stations, youth centres, social services locations, and other miscellaneous sites.
West Sussex is the western part of the historic county of Sussex and comprises an area of 1,991 square kilometres (769 sq. mi.) Within the county, there are 7 district and borough councils including Chichester, Horsham, Mid Sussex and Worthing. West Sussex provides an exceptional living base with over half of its area designated protected countryside and home to a wide range of leisure facilities.
The key elements of the successful Tivoli tender included investment in new equipment such as battery-powered hand tools, as well as staff training and upskilling. Tivoli’s social value commitments for the contract duration are around creating local employment opportunities; supporting local suppliers and SMEs; engaging with local community projects; making a positive environmental impact; and reducing water consumption.
