Manufactured Topsoil is an important part of most landscape projects (gardens, civil engineering, sustainable drainage systems-SuDs, and reclamation sites) where it supports the growth of vegetation. It does so by providing anchorage for plant roots, by slowly releasing nutrients, by providing oxygen, by draining excess water whilst delaying/retarding run off and by retaining moisture to sustain plant growth during dry periods.
Manufactured Subsoil is an important part of soil profile construction, supplying plant nutrients, anchorage and reserves of water. It can also play a role in SuDs schemes as it transmits rainfall to deeper layers or watercourses. It also enables the deep rooting of trees, shrubs, grasses and other plants. It can control waterlogging of surface payers and helps vegetation and crops withstand drought periods and provides anchorage for trees.
Topsoil
A range of blended topsoil that is tested to British Standard BS3882:2015. Topscape topsoil can also be supplied with CLEA certification.
Subsoil
A quality blended subsoil that is tested to British Standard BS8601:2013, providing the perfect base for Topscape topsoil.
Topscape Landscape Mix
A friable, moist blend of horticultural sand and soil or compost, balancing organic content with free draining capacity while maintaining a high degree of workability.
